Introduction
Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation is blessed with a teeming youth population that accounts for over 60% of its total population. By 2050, it will be the fourth most populated country on earth with 375 million people, out of which youth will be about 262 million. Without a doubt, Nigeria due in part to its youths is well-positioned to be Africa’s economic powerhouse. However, achieving such strides may not be possible with its low human capital index.
